Model Behavior

This morning, Katherine came up behind me while I was changing Jillian's diaper and hugged my legs. Then, she started patting my booty and saying comforting sorts of things ("It's OK, mommy"). Guess she must have picked this up from watching us with Jillian. Clever little girl. :)

More Katherine Silliness

I have no idea where she got this, but now when she hears someone say, "Me, too," she responds with, "Me, three!"

So. Cute.

Katherine's Latest Sayings

Lately, Katherine has been saying she wants to "By to you." What she means is that she wants to sit by me. It's a combo of "next to you" and "by you," but without the "sit" portion.

She's also taken to saying "I can't" when she doesn't want to do something. I presume she picked this up from me, as I've had to say that to her quite a few times when my hands are full with Jillian. She's a big fan of trying to boss us around, too, so we're working on letting her know that she is NOT the boss. Easier said than done. :) She really is a sweet girl, though. If only she wasn't quite so much of a mommy's girl these days. I think she's decided that every time she says my name, it must be in triplicate. And, she must think daddy has cooties or something. *siiiiiiiigh*

Some Recent Pictures

It's been a VERY long time since I posted pics, so I thought I'd throw up a few pics of our newest edition, Jillian Elise, and some of Katherine, too.

Katherine's latest silliness

Last night, we had a big salad for dinner with Nanny & Poppy. Katherine was telling us that a leaf had fallen in her nose. We all humored her. Then, she managed to pull a good-sized chunk of Romaine out of her right nostril. Needless to say, much laughter ensued, and Katherine was quite proud of herself for making us all laugh so hard.

Her latest saying is, "What's that little guy?" She started using this when we were reading one of her animal picture books, but now she'll apply it to just about anything--food, bugs, pretty much any object or person. What a hoot!
